What is a Startup Weekend?
A Startup Weekend is an educational and entrepreneurial event that takes place over three consecutive days, typically over a weekend. This event allows participants of all knowledge and skill levels to pitch their startup ideas and learn about creating a business model, prototyping, design, and market validation in a friendly and supportive environment.

What happens during the three days of a Startup Weekend?
At the beginning of the first day, each individual or team with an idea is given three minutes to explain their concept. After all the ideas are presented, the top 10 ideas are selected by participants and judges. Following the selection of the best ideas, teams are formed, and new members are added. These teams then use the resources provided by the event organizers to develop their idea or create a prototype, with approximately one and a half days to work on their projects. During this time, workshops are held for participants, and event mentors assist the teams based on their needs. On the evening of the third day, each group is given a few minutes to introduce and demo their idea and defend it against questions from the judges. After all groups have presented their ideas, the panel of judges selects the top three teams of the Startup Weekend, who then receive cash prizes.
